Dr Bryden’s Story
Dr Bryden Leung is a registered chiropractor with excellent skills and focuses; he is extremely passionate about chiropractic and is committed to promote the best evidence-based chiropractic care to patients, in order to improve their health and wellbeing. He has a strong practice interest in chronic low back pain, migraines and headaches. He also has interest in chiropractic neurology and evidence-based multi-modal chiropractic care.
Bryden was born in a bloodline of health care providers with both his parents working as a medical doctor and a senior nursing officer in Hong Kong. He has a younger brother who is a Chinese medicine practitioner and almost all his relatives are either doctors or nurses. This environment shaped him to want to become a health care provider since he was young.
Immediately after finishing high school, he continued his study in chiropractic and was graduated from RMIT University which is one of the most well-known chiropractic universities in Australia, with a Bachelor of Health Science (Chiro) and a Master in Clinical Chiropractic; both degrees achieved with Distinction. In 2013, Bryden was the Chiropractic & Osteopathic College of Australasia Dux student award winner at RMIT University. Later on, in 2016, he also received the Chiropractors Association of Australia (CAA) Academic Excellence Award, the CAA Excellence in Chiropractic Science Award, the RMIT Chiropractic Diagnostic Radiology award as well as the CAA Graduate of the Year.
While practicing in University of Sydney, Bryden also attended a variety of chiropractic and soft tissue rehabilitation seminars. This allows him to have a broad spectrum in practice. Bryden is a certified Upper Cerival Technique practitioner, a certified Sympathetic Dominance Protocol practitioner, a certified Active Release Technique practitioner, a certified Rocktape practitioner, a certified Rockblade (IASTM) practitioner and a certified musculoskeletal needling and cupping practitioner. Being a very active learner, Bryden is currently obtaining certifications in 3 more chiropractic techniques as well as the post-graduate functional neurology and orthopaedic rehabilitation training.
Bryden is very up to date with the latest research studies relating to chiropractic sciences. He is very selective on the all the treatment modalities used on patients and he always makes sure that all the clinical services provided are aligned and are supported by the latest research studies in the musculoskeletal field.
Besides working as a chiropractor, Bryden is also very actively involving in community services in Australia and developing countries. He is an active member of the Hands on Health Australia which is an organisation providing health care services to impoverished people in Australia, who otherwise have no access to chiropractic care otherwise. He sometimes volunteers during weekends to serve people in community clinics in Australia. In 2016, Bryden devoted his personal time travelling to the Philippines for a mission trip. He partnered up with local nurses and physiotherapists to provide health care services to multiple developing villages. He was awarded a certificate of appreciation for the services and assistance he provided to people and the local medical team in the Philippines.
Away from chiropractic, Bryden loves listening and playing music. He enjoyed jamming music with friends and family and he knows how to play a variety of instruments. He is also interested in cooking and this led him to his partner Vanessa who is an amazing chef!
